Guest Speaker

Our 2008 June Book Club meeting was graced by a special guest speaker, Fran Adams Kearton, author of a delightful book, “Waiting for the Banana Peel…We Did It LIVE!”. Fran is shown above with club member, Belinda. Fran told stories of her life with such joy and enthusiasm that we came away feeling entertained and inspired. She represents living life to the fullest. Her humor and intelligence shines through her writing and speaking. We were fascinated learning about the various phases of her life as a mother, a famous model, being a pioneer in the early days of television with Dick Van Dyke, being a well known painter, to becoming a corporate wife and public speaker. At 88 years old, Fran is working on her second book. We were appreciative to share an evening with such a fascinating woman and role model.

We celebrated Belinda’s Birthday with cake, ice cream and a enthusiastic round of singing. Oso even joined in the fun.
